Biography: Dale has been a fixture at Arthur-Lovington High School and Arthur-Lovngton-Atwood-Hammond High School for more than three decades.  His coachng ledger includes 15 years as boys’ head coach, eight as girls’ head coach and seven years as a boys’ assistant coach.  Dale’s 268-150 boys’ head coaching record includes 4 IHSA Regional titles and 2 IHSA Sweet 16 appearances.  His 121-98 girls’ head coaching mark includes 2 IHSA Regional titles and 1 IHSA Sweet 16 appearance.  In 2019, Dale returned to the court as the varsity boys’ coach at Mt. Zion HS pushing his career HS varsity record to 325-205 as a boys’ coach along with his HS girls totals of 121-98 for a total record of 443-303 through the end of the 2022-23 season.

Although Dale entered the Hall of Fame in the Career Coach Category, his continuation in the coaching profession qualified him to move to the Coach Category.  The IBCA Board approved the move in 2023.
