Biography:

Carl and Dorothy Fauth began following basketball and other sports at Princeville High School in the late 1940’s.  Carl Fauth has been the official scorer for basketball games for 12 years and operated the football scoreboard for 31 years.  Carl retired in 1978.  The couple missed only a few games in that time span.  No matter what the weather, the Fauths would be sitting in the stands.

A school board member for seven years, Carl served as president for two.  Many times Carl served as master of ceremonies for sports banquets.  Asked why they attend so many high school games and events, the Fauths reply was, “We just love the kids.”  Carl died on September 2, 2011 at the age of 95.  Dorothy died on October 15, 2014 also at the age of 95.
