Biography: Jack Tosh is a graduate of Stephen Decatur High School where he played for the legendary Gay Kinter. Tosh graduated from Northwestern University. He spent 32 years in coaching and athletic administration. An original member of the IBCA Board of Directors, while coaching at DeKalb, Tosh’s 1968 team finished 4th  in the IHSA state tourney. Before moving to DeKalb, Tosh was an assistant at Evanston High School and was associated with the 1964 Elite Eight team of 1964 and 1968 state champions.  As an athletic administrator, Tosh directed the DeKalb Holiday Tournament and was the originator of the (Elmhurst) York Turkey Classic and York Holiday Festival–now named the Jack Tosh Holiday Classic.  Tosh was selected as one of the state’s outstanding athletic directors in 1988 and 1993. While Tosh was the athletic director at York, the Elmhurst program produced numerous state championship teams and conference champions. Tosh also served the IBCA on the All-Star Game Committee for officials.  Jack attended the annual All-Star games and supervised officials for all scrimmages and games. Tosh also served as an honorary coach for the All-Star game. Tosh made many valuable contributions to the IBCA throughout the years and was one of its most dedicated workers.
