Biography:  Charlie Anthony of Wyanet was one of the porters of high school basketball in Bureau County.  His dedication to the sport certainly qualified him as an inductee into the IBCA Hall of Fame.  For more than 35 years, Charlie served the Wyanet junior and senior high schools in various roles.  He served as bus driver and then as scorekeeper.  In Febuary of 1991, he missed his first game in many years when he had both of his 75-year old knees replaced and was recovering in a Peoria hospital.  The next year, Charlie was back at the scoring table.

Charlie Anthony died on October 12, 2004 at the age of 89.
