Biography

Ervin Bond of Chicago was an administrator for the Region 6 Office of the Chicago Public Schools and was employed 25 years by the Chicago schools at the time of his induction. 

Serving as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, Bond, who holds degrees from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee, and Northeastern Illinois University, was closely connected to high school basketball. For 21 years he officiated high school basketball and whistled more than 30 tournaments.

Bond was well-respected in the Chicago Public League and officiated in three straight CPL championship games. He was also a top Chicago football official who worked three CPL championships and two Prep Bowls.
