Biography:

Roger’s coaching career at Marengo High School spanned 30 years from 1970 to 2000. He served as the boys’  varsity basketball head coach for the final three seasons, posting a 70-16 record.

Roger guided Marengo to a 27-3 season in 1997-98, advancing to the super-sectional. His 1999-2000 team was 27-3 as well and reached the sectional finals. For the other 27 years of his career, Roger coached freshmen, sophomores and was a varsity assistant at Marengo under IBCA Hall of Fame coach Bill Barry.

Roger Cannon died just before his formal induction on March 6, 2025 at the age of 77.
