Biography: Steve’s 43-year coaching career includes a 401-282 record in 38 years as eighth-grade coach at Mattoon Junior High School. Add in his five seasons as Mattoon High School coach and his career record stands at 429-376.  Steve’s junior high tenure is highlighted by two fourth-place finishes in the IESA state tournament. He also has guided his teams to six regional championships, three sectional titles and numerous South Central Conference championships.
