Biography:
Bryan Crabtree was one of the top players at Wheaton North High School and Illinois Wesleyan University. At Wheaton North he was a Daily Herald DuPage County All-Area pick as a senior after averaging 18 points and 7 rebounds a game. The two-time all-DuPage Valley Conference pick averaged 16.5 points and 7 rebounds as a junior.
Crabtree went on to a decorated career at Illinois Wesleyan University where the Titans were 100-17 during his four years and won the Division III NCAA championship in his senior year in 1996-97. He was the Division III national Player of the Year, Basketball Times first-team All-American, MVP of the championship tourney, College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW) Player of the Year and a second-team pick on the GTE College Division All-American academic team. He was a member of the Order of Titans for academic accomplishments, athletic contributions and citizenship.
At the time of his graduation, Crabtree’s career rankings were first in free throws made (518), tied for second in games played (114), third for points (1,871), sixth in scoring average (16.4), ninth in 3-pointers (179), 11th in free-throw percentage (79.7) and 13th in rebounds (585). His season rankings are first in free throws (209) and attempts (248), third in points (678), fourth in average (22.6) and sixth, seventh and eighth in steals respectively (49, 47 and 44). He is first in free throws made in a game (19) and tied for fifth in points in a game (40). Crabtree also played professionally in Europe.
