Biography:

Mike closed a 41-year coaching career on a high note at his alma mater of DuQuoin High School as his 2009-10 team went 25-7 and reached the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 1972. Crews went 92-58 in five years at DuQuoin with three straight IHSA Class 2A Regional titles and a Sectional crown. Crews also spent 11 years at Anna-Jonesboro and won three IHSA Regional titles, with his 1984-85 team going 21-9 and making the IHSA Class A Elite Eight. He also coached five years at Carlyle High School.

Mike was named IBCA District Coach of the Year, Southern Illinois Coach of the Year and Conference Coach of the Year. He served as IBCA All-Star game head coach and assistant coach. Mike was a member of the IHSA basketball advisory board and was an IBCA clinician.
