Biography:

David Delawder volunteered his services as statistician for more than 20 years for the Alton and (Alton) Marquette High School athletic teams. He also worked with the Alton athletic department to coordinate a tutoring program for student-athletes.

Delawder kept statistics for middle school games, football games and track meets. He retired after teaching math and science at East Middle School in the same classroom for 33 years and receiving numerous teaching awards. A native of Galesburg, Delawder hosted eight foreign exchange students who played basketball at Lewis & Clark Community College. He was inducted into the Alton High School Hall of Fame in 2015 and the Alton High School Athletics Hall of Fame.

Dave Delawder died on September 8, 2020 at the age of 73.
