Biography: 

Steve has served as a player and referee/umpire and also is known as a local sports historian. He even helps feed area sports teams, serving up cheeseburgers to them at his Boardwalk Tap in Wenona.

Fieldcrest athletic director Jason Chaplin said DeRubeis is a “huge supporter” of the local teams and called his knowledge of Tri-County area sports “impeccable.” He added that much of DeRubeis’ support is done behind the scenes and without fanfare.
