Biography: Ron Eeten scored 2,218 points as a four year starter at tiny San Jose High School (Note that there was no 3 point basket in that era).  As a senior, Eeten led San Jose to an unbeaten record until it lost in the IHSA Sectional to eventual state runner-up, Peoria Spalding. Eeten was accorded all-state honorable mention as a sophomore, all-state second team as a junior and all-state first team as a senior. Three times Eeten was named San Jose’s most valuable player. Eeten graduated as the leading career scorer and rebounder for San Jose. Eeten set the school’s single game record of 52 points and the season mark of 784. Eeten attended Texas A&M University and Illinois State University on basketball scholarships.  In 2023, Ron was joined in the IBCA Hall of Fame by his daughter, Caitlynn.
