Biography:

Flossmoor’s Ken Freeman had officiated basketball for 35 years at the time of his induction. The first three were in Cedar Rapids, Iowa before coming to Illinois. He worked 21 IHSA Regionals, 16 IHSA Sectionals–in 3 of them he worked the finals.

Freeman worked holiday tournaments at East Aurora, East Moline, Elgin, Darien Hinsdale South, Lemont, LaGrange Lyons Township, Ottawa, Hillside Proviso West, Rock Island, Aurora Waubonsie Valley, Wheeling and Elmhurst York.

He worked the Lemont and Elgin Christmas tournaments for 15 years, the Wheeling and Waubonsie Valley Christmas tournaments for 10 years and the Proviso West Christmas Tournament for 8 years.
