Biography

Lance Freeman was a four-year member of the varsity and three-year starter at Crescent-Iroquois High School. Upon graduation, he ranked second in school history in career scoring with 1,514 points, averaging 18 ppg as a junior and 26 ppg as a senior. He helped Crescent-Iroquois to a 70-12 record in his final three seasons and became second all-time in state history for consecutive games making a 3-pointer at 72.

Freeman was an 85 percent free-throw shooter and made 242 of 564 shots from 3-point range for 42.9 percent. He also had 335 assists (4.1 average) his senior year and was a first-team IBCA all-state selection. He was the Watseka Times Player of the Year. He set career school records for 3-pointers made (242) and free-throw percentage (79.8), single-season free-throw percentage (85.5) and scoring (800 points) and single-game scoring (48 points).

He continued his playing career in college at Harper, Parkland and Missouri Valley. He also coached at Tolono Unity High School.
