Biography:

Chad Gallagher was a starter for (Rockford) Boylan Catholic High School during the 1985-86 and 1986-87 seasons.  The Titans went 57-7 in Chad’s varsity seasons and were members of the IHSA Class AA Elite Eight both years.  He socred 618 points during his senior year to rank him 3rd in Boylan single season scoring.  In his two varsity seasons, Chad scored 1,078 career points.  He was an IBCA all state player and played on the Class AA North team in the 1987 IBCA All Star Game. 

Chad attended Creighton University and was an unanimous All Missouri Valley conference player and an honorable mention UPI All American player.  Chad was the Blue Jays 2nd all time leading scorer with 1,983 career points.  He was 1st in field goals made, 3rd in field goal percentage and 2nd in blocked shots with 183.  He was also the Blue Jays’s 5th all time leading rebounder with 891.  Chad was selected 33rd overall in the 1991 NBC draft by the Phoenix Suns.  He played professionally in Spain during the 1991-92 season.  He was a versatile player at 6’10”.
