Biography: Jim retired in 2012 after 45 years of coaching basketball at various levels and schools.  His long career included head coaching stints at (Bensenville )Fenton High School, Dundee-Crown High School, and (Addison) Driscoll High School producing 171 victories.  Jim also coached at (Arlington Heights) St. Viator High School, (Chicago) Holy Cross High School Highland Park High School and three Catholic grade schools in Chicago.  His teams were noted for always playing hard and officials considered Jim to be a gentleman in his approach and demeanor.  Jim Danforth died on Oct. 2, 2022 at the age of 76.
