Biography: Randy only missed one game of the Mt. Vernon High School basketball team from 1966 through his 2013 Hall of Fame induction.  That came when he was in line for tickets to a game against top-ranked Benton High School when they sold out before getting to his spot.  Randy kept the scorebook for the freshmen and sophomores beginning in 1979 and kept the varsity book for nearly 20 seasons.  As a team historian, Randy has donated DVD copies of the 1950 and 1954 IHSA Championship games to the Basketball Museum of Illinois.  Sadly, Randy died due to complications of COVID on October 15, 2020 at the age of 69.
