Biography: Jim has been the voice of Downers Grove South High School basketball beginning in 1986.  He served as the public address announcer for all home boys’ and girls’ basketball games.  Jim also has been selected to announce at a wide range of special basketball events in the Chicago area.  In 1988, he expanded his announcing duties to add more of the Mustangs’ sports in fall, winter, and spring seasons.  Sadly, Jim Mizener died on November 14, 2020 due to complications caused by COVID.  After weeks of valiantly fighting this dreaded illness, Jim succombed at the age of 78.
