Biography: At the time of his induction, Dr. Bumbales had been the team physician for Elgin High School’s 24 boys’ and girls’ sports, beginning in 1988.  He also served as a volunteer assistant basketball coach beginning in 1988 and in 2009, took on the role of Elgin’s girls’ varsity head coach.  Dr. Bumbales has been active in directing boys’ and girls’ basketball camps in Bartlett and Elgin and for 3 years was a co-director of the Elgin Holiday Tournament.
