Biography: Don Cameron is the super fan and booster of Virden basketball for the past 25 years. He has attended Virden basketball at every level over this period. Coach of the junior high Lightweight team from 1959-63, Cameron has had four sons deeply involved in Virden basketball. Listed as Virden’s Super Fan in 1979, Cameron has been known to keep the scorebook, drive players to games, research Virden basketball and has written accounts of games for the local newspaper so both the fans and players could read about Virden basketball. Virden High School can never say enough thanks to Don Cameron for his efforts in promoting basketball there.  Don Cameron died on January 14, 2007 at the age of 75.
