Biography: Jack spent 37 years in the Moline school district as a social studies teacher, serving nine seasons as freshman coach at John Deere Junior High before taking over as Moline assistant varsity coach.  All of Jack’s teams had winning seasons, with the 1965 squad reaching the state quarterfinals. Among his players was all-stater Steve Kuberski, who played for the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics. Jack co-authored “100 Years of Moline Basketball” with George VanVooren.
