Biography: Dr. Ted Grevas built a solid foundation for his love of high school athletics at Rock Island High School. It was easy for him to return home where he had been a letterman of its football, basketball and track and field teams.  After attending St. Ambrose College and the University of Illinois, Grevas renewed his love for the Rocks as a season-ticket holder for more than 40 years. For 35 years, before retiring, he served as team doctor for Rock Island athletics. Dr. Grevas was always available to help behind the scenes whenever the Rock Island athletic program needed him.  He said “supporting Rock Island athletics has many rewards, especially watching these young men mature and become good citizens of this free country,” and feels athletics build a solid foundation for dealing with the real world. Grevas on December 10, 2014 at the age of 90.
