Biography: Rich Nichin has been the official varsity conference scoreboard operator at (Chicago) St. Patrick High School since the 1981-82 season.  At the time of his induction, he had served the Shamrocks’ program for 32 years with 30 years at the varsity level.  Rich got his start as a freshmanstudent at St. Patrick in 1976-77, operating the clock and scoreboard for freshmen A and B games.  He moved up to working sophomore games the next year.
