Biography: Lee Baker served Edinburgh as its head timer on both the high school and junior high school levels for more than 25 years. It is believed Baker never missed a game during those years. Edinburgh Athletic Director, Rick Wagahoff, is certain Baker never made a scoring error. Baker worked the 1987 IHSA Class A State Tournament as an assistant timer and in 1988, was the head timer. Baker, a farmer, also found time to serve the Edinburgh School District as a board member for seven years. In that capacity, he was a very loyal supporter of the district and community, attending not only athletic activities, but also many drama and music activities. Edinburgh truly has a friend of basketball in Lee Baker; now the IBCA does too.
