Biography: Roger was a fixture in the Sparta High Schol sports programs dating back to the 1980’s.  Included is a 268-123 record as the head girls coach there.  He guided the Sparta girls to the IHSA Class A Sweet Sixteen in 2006.  He was chosen the Southern Illinois Coaches Association Coach of the Year for that season.  Under his leadership, the Sparta girls won 6 regional titles.
