Biography: At the time of his induction, Al was beginning his 24th year as “The Voice of Streator”.  He broadcast Streator High School and (Streator) Woodland High School athletics.  He worked at WIZZ/WSPL Radio beginning in 1985 when he graduated from Southern Illinois University.  He became the stations’ sports director in 1986.  Al has broadcast more than 1,400 high school and grade school football, basketball, softball, soccer, and volleyball games.  He has anchored three weekly programs highlighting area players and coaches.
