Biography: Scott Parzych was a 6’7” starter for Lockport High School for 3.5 years. During this time, the Porters compiled a 115-20 record, including the 1977-78 club which was undefeated at 33-0. For that season, Scott was named as an All-American player, an all-state player, and a member of that year’s all-state tournament team. Twice he was on the All-Illini 8 conference team and twice he was his team’s MVP. At the time of his graduation, Scott had scored 18 baskets in a game and held the team records for most points in a game (41) and most field goals in a season (307). He left the Porters as their second all-time scorer (1,547 total points scored) and second in career rebounds (921). His 1977-78 season saw him move into the second spot on the list of most points scored in a season (707). He also held conference marks in the Illini 8 for third highest number of points scored (850) and second in season field goals (144) and second in season rebounds (213). Scott went on to play for North Carolina State University, graduating in 1982, just a season before the Wolfpack won the national title.
