Biography: Keith Douglas was a three-year starter at Quincy High School. As a sophomore he scored 342 points, grabbed 204 rebounds, and made 46 assists. Those numbers were 240 (points) 142 (rebounds) and 24 (assists). During his senior campaign in 1978-79 Douglas scored 843 points, picked off 355 caroms and made 82 assists. The AP, UPI, Chicago Tribune, Champaign News-Gazette, Chicago Sun-Times, IBCA, and Quad City Times selected Douglas to their all-state units. He was named to the all-state tourney teams, Pontiac Holiday Tourney, Quincy Thanksgiving Tourney, and Western Big Six Conference elite squads. He scored 48 points in one game against Galesburg as a Blue Devil senior. The Blue Devils finished second to Maine South of Park Ridge in 1979 when Douglas scored 25 points in the title game. Quincy was 32-1 with the loss. Douglas was the South AA most valuable player in the 1979 IBCA all-star game. He played one season at the University of Kansas before transferring to Quincy College, where he set a single-season record by scoring 25.6 points per game in his half-season there. He finished his college career at the University of South Florida.
