Biography: John Belobraydic was a two-year starter at Collinsville High School for Hall of Fame coach Vergil Fletcher. Both teams made it to Champaign and the 1977-78 team took third place in IHSA Class AA when Belobraydic tied a AA record with 24 rebounds in a 96-65 win over Rockford East High School in the third-place game. In 8 state tournament games he had an average of 25 points and 12 rebounds. Belobraydic averaged 20.7 points on 56.9 percent field goal shooting and 9.7 rebounds for the 28-3 Kahoks. He was named all-state, all-Metro and all-conference and played in the IBCA All-Star Game. As a junior, Belobraydic averaged 14 points as the Kahoks were 30-1 and lost in the quarterfinals to (Chicago) DeLaSalle High School.  Belobraydic was a four-year letterman at Arizona and was named Outstanding Freshman Athlete of the Year for 1978-79. A co-captain in 1982, he was selected for the Golden Eagle Award for excelling in athletics and academics.  Belobraydic became a pharmacist/pharmacy manager in Tucson, Arizona.
