Biography: Derek earned all-state player honors at Morton (IL) High School in 1992-93 along with All-American player honors from USA Today.  He scored 1,051 career points at the University of Missouri to become their #28th all time scorer.  Derek became the 17th player in Tiger history to surpass 1,000 points scored and 500 rebounds grabbed.  He played professional basketball for 4 seasons, including 1 season with the Sacramento Kings of the NBA.
