Biography: The 1950-51 state champion Freeport Pretzels were led by all-state player McKinley (Deacon) Davis.  Joining Davis on the all tournament team were Ben Dorsey and Tommy Williams.  They compiled a 31-2 record while winning the Big 8 Conference and the Pontiac Holiday Tournament.  This team was known for the speed and quickness of their defense.  They scored 65 ppg while holding their opponenets to an average of 45 ppg.  The team was coaches by Harry Kinert, assisted by Joe Spudich.
