Biography:

At the time of his induction, James had been an IHSA official for 36 years.  He also had officiated at the junior college level. That is only part of his contributions to basketball in the city of Chicago. 

James is one of the founders of “Late Night Basketball,” a program he piloted at Garfield Park in Chicago. The program has grown and now is being run at 11 Chicago parks. The program has changed lives for participants and received positive media coverage.
