Biography: Craig Hodges was an all-SICA, all-area, all-state and all-American high school player in 1978 at Rich East High School. Hodges also played in the 1978 IBCA All-Star game. Hodges was a four year starter at Long Beach State University where he averaged 12.8 points per game. His senior year, Hodges averaged 17.5 points. Hodges was drafted in the third round (pick #48) in the 1982 NBA draft. Hodges played two seasons with San Diego and scored 1342 points. He was traded by the Clippers in 1984 along with Terry Cummings and Ricky Pierce. He played three seasons with the Bucks before joining the Phoenix Suns and then in 1988-89 becoming a member of the Chicago Bulls. Hodges had developed into a deadly three-point shooter and led the NBA in that category. Hodges often finished well in the NBA three-point contest held in conjunction with the annual All-Star game.
