Biography:  For 44 years leading to his induction, Fritz Joesting has shown his dedication to Pekin Community High School basketball as a season ticket holder.  That dedication never stopped at being a spectator because Fritz was a co-founder of the Booster Clubs for football and basketball.  He served 6 years on the Pekin High School Board of Education from 1960-66.  Fritz was instrumental in starting the Pekin Holiday Basketball Tournament.  He continued to serve on the tournament committee for many years.  

Two of his highlights were cheering for the 1964 and 1967 IHSA state champions from Pekin.  Fritz was always ready to help the coaches and athletes by giving an encouraging word.

Fritz Joesting died on July 10, 2003 at the age of 79.
