Biography:

Danny Jones was a 3-year starter for (Rockford) Boylan Catholic High School from 1983-86.  Those teams rolled to records of 27-1, 29-3 and 29-3 for a 3-year mark of 85-7.  Danny and the Titans won 3 IHSA Regionals, 2 IHSA Sectionals and made 2 IHSA Class AA Elite Eight appearances.  He set the all time scoring mark for Boylan with 1, 556 points (this was just 2 years before the 3 pount line came into high school basketball).  He was 2nd on the career rebounding list with 695 boards. 

The 6’5″ Jones attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where he was a 4-year starter.  He set a Badger record by playing in 118 career games.  Twice he was named a 2nd team All-Big Ten member.  As a Badger, he averaged 15.7 ppg,  His 611 points during the 1988-89 season set a team record.  At the end of his Badger career,  Danny was 2nd in field goals made and 3rd in career field goal percentage.

After finishing college, Danny played in Turkey and the Phillipines.  He played for the Rockford Lightning and the LaCrosse Catbirds of the CBA.  He was a member of LaCrosse’s 1992 championship team.  He also played for the Erie, PA team of the World Basketball Association.
