Biography:

Darryl Lamps of Rock Island started officiating in 1969 and in 2020 celebrated his 50th season, including 32 at the NCAA Division I level. He worked regional tournaments at the high school level from 1975-80 and since 1976 officiated numerous college games.

Lamps worked in the Iowa Intercollegiate Conference, the Midwest Classic Conference, the Arrowhead Conference, College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW), Collegiate Conference of Central Illinois, Iowa Community College Athletic Conference and the Mid-Continent Conference. He served as a supervisor of officials for the Arrowhead, Midwest Classic and Collegiate Conference of Central Illinois.

His highlights included working the NCAA Division III regionals four times, the NAIA national tournament four times, the NJCAA regionals for eight years and the San Juan Shootout from 1987-95. He also worked the Leeward Islands Championship Tournament three times, the Seoul International Invitational Tournament and the University of Illinois Tour Russia-Baltic States Tournament. He was a technical advisor to the Leeward Islands.
