Biography:

Kersten starred at (Frankfort) Lincoln-Way East High School from 2005-2009, setting the career record with 1,907 points. A first-team all-stater as a junior and senior, she was a four-time team MVP and all-conference pick. 

Kersten played at The University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) from 2009-2013, serving as a three-time team captain and winning the Coach’s Award, Most Inspirational Award and Most Courageous Award. She battled back from injuries to play professionally in Australia, where she won the Lifetime Medal for heart and passion.
