Biography:

 At the time of his induction, Bob Maney had been covering high school sports for 46 years, with the last 17 prior to his induction at the Paxton Record. He began his career when he obtained his driver’s license in 1957 by helping his father at games.

Maney earned more than 40 sportswriting awards in Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. He won first place for sports features, school reporting and investigative reporting. He was sports editor at the Frankfort Times, Atkinson-Annawan News and the Paxton Record. Maney was a disabled veteran who had served in the US Air Force.

Bob Maney died on February 23, 2010 at the age of 68.
