Biography:

Katie was a first-team all-stater at Wheaton Central High School (now Wheaton-Warrenville South High School), averaging 18 ppg and 10 rpg as a senior on the 1985 IHSA Class AA state runner-up team. She was the Chicago Tribune Female Athlete of the Year in 1984 and 1985.

Katie played collegiately at Duke University, earning All-America player honors while scoring 1,761 career points. She played professionally in Belgium.  At the time of her induction, she had just completed her 17th year as women’s head coach at the University of Miami (FL). She was AP National Coach of the Year in 2011.
