Biography:  Alan J. Miller was a three-year starter at (Aurora) Marmion Military Academy.  A second team all-Suburban Catholic Conference (SCC) choice as a sophomore in 1962, Alan was the league’s scoring champion the next season with a 24.5 ppg average.  He was named to the all-league first team and the all-Chicagoland area first team.

As a Marmion senior in 1964, he was again the SCC scoring leder at 27.6 ppg, a first team all conference choice and an all-Chicagoland area first team choice.  In his 66 games at Marmion, Alan averaged 21.5 ppg.

Miller played four seasons at Loyola University-Chicago under HOF Coach George Ireland.  He averaged 15.1 ppg as a freshman; 12.9 ppg as a sophomore; 12.7 ppg as a junior; and 5.0 ppg as a senior.  His career average was 11.0 ppg.  

The 1965-66 team was rated as high as 11th in the nation.  His senior squad played in the NCAA tournament.
