Biography: At the time of his induction, Ralph was the athletic director at South Suburban College.  Ralph served 12 seasons as a Chicago Public League coach with 7 seasons at (Chicago) Kennedy High School and 5 at (Chicago) Curie High School.  His record in the CPL was 145-92; his 1971 team won the Blue Central Conference Title.  He served as the chairman of the Public League Basketball Committee, directed the league’s basketball clinic for 10 years, was developer of freshmen and junior varsity programs and was the founder of the city’s public elementary school basketball programs.  From 1978-81 he served as an assistant and head coach at Lewis University, where his teams went 44-44.  In 6 seasons at Thornton Community College, his teams were 140-55.  The 1987 team finished 3rd in the nation after bein 4th in 1986.  During the 1986-87 season his club was 31-4 and included 21 straight victories, the most in school history.  Miller’s team was the North Central Community College Champions in 1987 when he was named the league’s coach of the year.  He was named to similar honors in NJCAA Region IV Division II in 1986 and 1987.
