Biography: Tom Millikin became the first man in Illinois basketball history to have played on a state championship team, in 1948 at Pinckneyville under Duster Thomas, and then coach a state title team, Proviso East in 1969.  Tom was a standout player at Southern Illinois University earning Little All-American honors.  A coaching career record of 211-61, his teams earned 7 Regional titles, 4 Conference crowns, and 2 State Tournament appearances.  Tom finished his career as the principal at Proviso East HS.  Tom Millikin passed away on May 1, 2001.
