Biography: Debra Pitts worked for the Alton School District thirty-one years and then eight-years as the principal of Civic Memorial H.S. in Bethalto.  During her time at Alton and Civic Memorial she regularly attended games and was a champion of their athletic teams and student athletes.  Once she retired Ms. Pitts became directly involved with the SIUE program.  She is a season ticket holder and serves on the university’s Red and Black Gala Committee, which raises funds for Cougar Athletics.  Her motto today is: “Once a Cougar, Always a Cougar”.
