Biography: At the time of his induction, Ned Ray’s teams had a 727-478 record in 31 years as a junior high school coach at Lick Creek (2 years) and Goreville (29 years).  His total included a 479-280 mark at the 8th grade level.  Ned coached 1,205 games, winning 15 regional championships and making 17 IESA state tournament appearances.  The Goreville gym was dedicated in 1999 as the Ray Gymnasium.
