Biography: 

Doug Smith had a 419-80 record in 20 seasons (through 2024) as a seventh-grade coach at Teutopolis Junior High. His tenure has produced 14 IESA Regional championships and 11 appearances in the IESA Elite Eight.

Highlights include four IESA State Championships, two runner-up finishes and one fourth place finish. He holds IESA Class 3A state tournament records for:  most tournaments played in, most games coached, most tournament wins, most consecutive trips to state and most championships won. He’s a 10-time IBCA Coach of the Year.
