Biography:  Ron Stallings started all but two games in 4 seasons on Ridgway High School teams that posted a 94-10 record over that time.  Stallings, set the career scoring record at 2,643 points, ranking him 10th among Illinois high school players at that time.

Ron averaged 37.1 ppg as a senior in the 1967-68 season.  That average was 4th all time when Ron graduated from high school.  Ron set the single game mark with 59 points against Grayville.  Ron set the career rebounding record with 1,438 grabs.  He established the career free throw mark of 569 made, the single season mark of 191 made and the single game record of 19 made.

Twice Ron was named as an all-state player during his junior and senior years as he played under the guidance of hall of fame coach Bob Dallas.  After his prep career, Ron attended The University of Louisville.
