Biography:

Sullivan High School’s Larry Wagner was a vital part of the school’s basketball program as head coach from 1972-81. He guided Sullivan teams to a pair of IHSA Regional titles, an IHSA Sectional championship and an IHSA Class A Elite Eight appearance in 1978. 

Wagner was also an assistant to Ron Felling when Lawrenceville High School won the first IHSA Class A title in 1972. Wagner continued to be a positive influence to the Sullivan student-athletes and worked voluntarily with the coaching staff to improve shooting fundamentals.
