Biography:   At the time of his induction, Larry Wilson had worked for 28 years at WCRA-WCRL in Effingham. During that span Wilson described the action in more than 1800 basketball games. Besides his play by play duties, Wilson had a daily sports show for more than 26 years. For 19 years Wilson conducted a popular Coach’s Corner show. He is regarded throughout East Central Illinois as a premier sports announcer. Wilson has been recognized by the National Trail Conference for 20 years of coverage. Coaches throughout the Effingham area have grown to regard Wilson as a true professional with an uncanny knack for impartiality. He has earned the quiet respect from fans, players, administrators and coaches.
