Biography: At the time of his Hall of Fame induction, Steve Wooley had been the head girls’ basketball coach at (Piasa) Southwestern High School for more than 20 years.  He has guided the Birds to 2 IHSA Sectional Championships and 13 Macoupin County and South Central Conference Championships.  Steve also coached the Southwestern High School boys’ varsity for 3 seasons and the Southwestern Middle School for 10 years.  At the middle school, his teams won 9 IESA Regionals and made 2 Elite Eight appearances.  Prior to the 2017-18 season his overal coaching record stood at 461-128.
