Biography: Bill “Red” Rogers coached high school basketball in Illinois for 25 years. He spent five years at Sparland High School and 20 at Hamilton High School. Rogers-coached teams won 464 games and lost 189. His teams won 12 conference champions, 5 IHSA Regional championships and 1 IHSA Sectional champion. A member of the Western Illinois University Hall of Fame, Rogers served as an IBCA All-Star coach and has been a district IBCA coach of the Year. Rodgers attended Bushnell High School and Western Illinois University. “Red “Rogers died on February 18, 2007.
